The Woodland Creek Landscaping nursery is located on 120 acres just outside of Poynette, Wisconsin (20 minutes North of Madison, Wisconsin). The setting is worth a trip to visit us. You'll see a large selection of beautiful, healthy trees, shrubs and perennials to choose from and wander along our half mile restored trout stream. You can also hike our 2 mile nature trail or observe the area from our two observation towers. An appointment is required and visits are only available to serious nursery and landscaping clients.
Healthier, Hardier Plants
At Woodland Creek Nursery we grow over 250 different varieties of trees, shrubs, perennials and specialty plants on our farm in Poynette. Our plants are grown using integrated pest management practices which means we grow superior quality plants with minimal input. We use organic fertilizers, preventative pest control, and hand weeding. Our trees are watered using a water efficient drip irrigation system that minimizes excess water runoff and the spread of plant disease. At Woodland Creek Nursery we respect the environment and strive to reduce our impact through our growing practices. Every plant we grow receives personal attention during potting, pruning, weeding and is hand selected for your project.
Support Locally Grown Plants and Business
Plant material is fully acclimated to our winters and regional soils, local climactic precipitation and humidity. The plants you will find at big box stores are often grown outside of Wisconsin, sometimes in states like Tennessee, which means that the plants are much less adaptable and hardy to our harsh climate. Because our plants are sourced locally and grown locally, they are adapted to the variable and extreme South-Central Wisconsin climate. All of our plant material comes with a 1 year plant replacement warranty.

Customized Landscape Designs
Local nurseries offer unusual, individual specimens that a designer is just not able to find in a box store's selection. Our talented landscape designers draw from a larger palette of hardy plants to help create a custom landscape specifically designed to fit each client.
Building Community and Caring for Our Environment
The revenues from buying local stay in the community since our employees live and pay taxes in the community. Also, local businesses contribute to a healthier and more diverse community.
